How can you beat THAT? That to me is the most amazing part of this game.Īt first the "animation" was stilted, moving chess pieces,so to speak. And to top it off: EVERY SEASON in history could be replayed.accurately, for the most part.all in ONE GAME. It had everything as far as simming was concerned.I mean: EVERYTHING. But none of them had the statistical accuracy for me that APBA had.Īnd then in 2016 I discovered OOTP and I haven't looked back. EVen Aaron vs Ruth was great in this regard. Once in a while, a great real-to-baseball game popped up for the PC, like Hardball or Tony LaRussa or MVP, and these got me hooked on animated games of baseball. Played that for years (still do from time to time). Then I discovered the APBA computer game (BBW) and I was hooked on THAT. But APBA was my go-to (never cared for Strat o Matic). During the same time, I discovered other dice games such as SherCo, good in its own right. I once spent SIX YEARS replaying the entire 1964 season (master game,cards/dice,ballpark effects,etc).1620 games some of them dogs, but I was determined. Here's the thing: for years (40 years ,actually) I was a strict cards-and-dice guy and nothing for me was better than the APBA Master game for replays.
